LOL, I know, I need Scotty to be in here somewhere but I wasn't sure what to do with him yet. Don't worry, he'll be there.
As for Chekov/Sulu, I definitely want Chekov to have a crush on Sulu, but I don't really think Sulu would be hooking up with his younger, hero-worshipping employee while on the campaign trail with cameras everywhere -- even though it would obviously be the sexiest sex scandal *ever.* :D Where I think it is going is Sulu being sort of a mentor, maybe helping Chekov come out, maybe eventually a scene where he takes him to one of my his favorite gay bars in DC to introduce him to everyone.
I think the fun/scary thing about this is going to be juggling Pavel's story and Kirk's story. What I keep going back to in my head is "Eagle: The Making of an Asian-American President," which is probably my favorite political story ever.
I am probably going to try to finish my claimed prompts on the kinkmeme before coming back to this, but that shouldn't take too long if my various plotbunnies/porn bunnies cooperate. Thanks so much for the encouragement! :)
