Title: "Symbolic"
Fandom: Star Trek XI
Pairing: Sulu/Chekov
Rating: PG-13 for an implied sexual situation
Summary: Chekov is confused by Sulu's tattoo. Say that three times fast! :p
AN: Just a very tiny little bit of fluff for the kink meme.
"But... it does not look like a flower." Pavel was looking up from his somewhat awkward position straddling Hikaru's hips, examining the tattoo on his right hipbone at close range.
"It's not really supposed to... it's called fleur de lis because it's based on the shape of a lily flower, but really it symbolizes a bunch of different things."
Pavel traced the tattoo, making Hikaru chuckle at the feather-like touch. "And what does it symbolize for you?"
"For me? France in the age of revolutions... swordplay and intrigue and le grand geste -- big gestures, shows of honor and courage and loyalty. The Three Musketeers, the Count of Monte Cristo... I always thought that even if I never got to have my own big dramatic adventures, I'd want to live up to them in whatever little ways I could. Even if it just meant helping a friend pass a biology test, I could say I had a code of honor... God, that sounds lame when I say it out loud."
"But Hikaru... you do have adventures. You even have swordfights. You saved the Captain's life with your sword, even knowing that you might not survive!"
"Yeah," says Hikaru, and his eyes start to slide shut as Pavel's warm hands move from his hipbone to the tense muscles of his inner thighs. "Yeah, I did that, didn't I?"
